Original-condition grades
New In Box
Brand new and unused, in the manufacturer’s original packaging.
Open Box
The box has been opened, but the device is unused and in as-new condition.
Excellent
Not new, but shows no visible signs of use. Any marks are faint and hard to spot at arm’s length.
Great
Minor scratches.
Fair
Moderate amount of scratches.
Rough
Heavy scratches on the frame, screen and/or back of the device. Minor cracks on the edges of the screen are allowed.
Repairable
Powers on, not fully functional — can be repaired to restore function.

Restored to mint condition; may include an aftermarket display and frame.
Refurbished B
Restored to a "B" grade using quality aftermarket parts or display.

TrueGrade — Grading & Inspection
TrueGrade by Device Giant is how we make refurbished simple and honest. Two things happen to every device before it’s listed: we assign a cosmetic grade so you know exactly how it looks, and we run a 25-point functional inspection so you know exactly how it works. The grade sets the price — the inspection guarantees the device does its job.
The TrueGrade scale
Original-condition grades describe a device’s natural wear. Refurbished grades (AR / BR / CR) have been professionally restored using quality aftermarket parts.

| B | Great | Minor scratches. |
| C | Fair | Moderate amount of scratches. |
